Blog EntryWHAT IS HOME TO YOU?Apr 19, '08 12:44 PM
for everyone
calling anyone who is on my network, what do you mean when you say, "i want to go home now?" or gusto ko nang umuwi?
WHAT IS HOME TO YOU?
no not your place of residence or where you end up being at the end of the day.
i just want to compare what home means to you and maybe i can program that in my head.

home for me is the home i grew up in in bulacan. i just miss it - it is painful everytime i visit it because it brings back family memories - both bitter and sweet ones.

Home is wherever my family is. It is where I can be me and it's ok just to be. It isn't the house though most think it is. It's the people.

Home is anywhere I can lay my head to rest and sleep soundly, It is the ultimate comfort zone, for heart, body and soul.

home is where you belong...where you long to go to at the end of the day or after a long journey...it is where you feel you are always welcome

One of my favorite Toad The Wet Sprocket songs goes:

"You can take me down, you can show me your home -- not the place where you live, but the place where you belong."

1. It's where my bed and books are.
2. It's where my family, friends, or S.O. (if I had one) are.
3. AT&T used to feel like a second home to me.

"home" hmmmm, when i say "i want to go home" at the end of the day its my apartment, be it ever so humble... when my siblings and i are talking about "home" its my moms house in baguio, again, be it ever so humble...

once again, i thank you all for your input, it means alot given the diversity of our personalities, it is wonderful to see how each of us long for something called home and that we are not defined by our work but where we feel best.
